Djolé (Jolé, Yolé)
Djole is a mask-dance from the Temine-people from Sierra Leone. In the tradition it is played on square drums in different sizes; the sicco ́s (or sico ́s). The mask is presenting a female although it is carried by a male during the dance.
Djole always was a great village festivity, where often several villages got together and celebrate a big harvest or a wedding.
